The Performance Lab, located at Mid-valley Athletic Club, offers the most efficient training methods to the avid exerciser looking to get more out of their exercise routine.  The Lab offers performance assessments in both running and cycling.  By using physiologically sounds methods, training zones are ascertained for the athlete/client.  These zones can then be utilized by the athlete/trainer/coach to design a more efficient training program.  

Different packages are available to fit the different needs and budgets of the athletes/clients/coaches.  Also available is a unique Endurance Concierge TM Service.  To get a bigger value, sign-up for a Training Package

 

Laboratory Fees

 

Total Package:  For a low fee the athlete gets all the information he /she needs to become more efficient in their exercise endeavors.  The package includes the Consultation, Power Assessment and a Performance Training Session. This will help any athlete to make positive steps forward in their exercise progression:                                                                        $110.00

The Consultation is a meet and greet session with the physiologist to determine the specific needs of the athlete/client.  This session will help determine the focus and direction of training for the athlete/client.  It is with this consultation that a relationship will develop between the physiologist and the athlete/client. The Power Assessment  is a onetime assessment to determine the athletes power output on either the bike or run.  The assessment can be a sub-maximal performance or a max performance depending on the experience, fitness and choice of the client/athlete. Power output is correlated with Heart Rate (HR) to determine the proper HR zones. Most assessments take about one hour to perform. Top

The Performance Training is a onetime training session conducted with the physiologist to ensure that the athlete is conducting the workout correctly to get the desired physiological adaptations from the training. The sessions will be conducted in the lab under consistent conditions. Each session is 1 hour to 1.5 hours in duration.  It is desirable to make sure the athlete/client knows his/her training parameters prior to this type of training. If parameters are unknown, a Power Assessment is recommended. Top
